All content on bikelabstudio.com —articles, BikeLabPedia entries, white papers, datasets, physical models and methodologies— is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
Two exceptions, and only two: the source code of the calculators (CC BY-NC 4.0) and photography. Everything else is CC BY 4.0.
You may: copy, redistribute, translate, adapt, remix and build upon this material, for any purpose, including commercially.
On one condition: cite the source.
Citation is mandatory. It is not a courtesy or good manners: it is the legal condition that sustains the permission. If you use this content without attribution, the license terminates automatically under clause §6.a of CC BY 4.0, and your use is no longer covered: it becomes copyright infringement.
In cases of use without attribution we request the removal of the content and its deindexing from search engines, in addition to any applicable legal action.
Naming the source and the author, and linking to the original, is enough. Suggested format:
For calculators and datasets with a DOI, cite the DOI. It is the cleanest and most permanent form:
If you publish on the web, the link to the original must be crawlable (no
rel="nofollow" added to hide the source).
The source code of the BikeLab Studio calculators (SAG, PSI, FIT Analyzer, Di2/AXS Diagnostic, Trail) is published under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0).
You may: read it, audit it, copy it, translate it, adapt it, verify the models and build upon them for non-commercial purposes, citing the authorship and the DOI.
You may not: clone the tool and exploit it commercially —integrating it into a for-profit product, service or site— without express written permission.
The methodology, the physical models, the white papers and the validation articles are CC BY 4.0, with no commercial restriction: science is published to be used and verified. What stays protected is the implementation, not the knowledge.
The models are validated against independent numerical oracles and deposited with a DOI on Zenodo. Access is free; authorship and publication date are not negotiable.
Commercial use of the code? Write to us. It is licensed separately.
The photographs published on this site are the work of Carlos Eduardo Ravello Joo and are also released under CC BY 4.0. You may download, use and republish them —even commercially— as long as the authorship is stated.

The files carry the authorship embedded in their metadata (IPTC/EXIF: creator, credit, copyright). Stripping or altering that metadata to hide the source is not a covered use: attribution remains mandatory and omitting it terminates the license (§6.a).
The brand and logo are not licensed, and portraits of identifiable people require their own consent, outside the scope of this license.
The BikeLab Studio brand and logo are not part of this license (they are distinctive signs, not licensable works). And facts —a measurement, a date, a factory specification— are not licensable by anyone: what is licensed is the expression, the analysis and the model.
Because closed technical knowledge is worthless. This lab publishes so the work gets used, verified and argued with. All of it published. All of it dated. All of it signed.
Use it. Study it. Cite it.
But do not mistake access for authorship. The content can be copied. The methodology can be studied. The publication date can no longer be changed.
