SUSPENSION SERVICE IN TRUJILLO – DYNAMIC CONTROL AND MECHANICAL PRECISION

Professional MTB suspension maintenance under technical criteria

At BikeLab Studio we perform technical suspension service under controlled dynamic protocol, internal sealing inspection and damping calibration.

Suspension is not a feeling.
It is applied dynamics.

m ẍ + c ẋ + kx = F(t)

m = mass

c = damping coefficient

k = spring constant

Controlling damping (c) defines stability, traction and recovery under real load conditions.

Why suspension maintenance is critical

Over time oil loses viscosity, seals create additional friction and the system drifts away from optimal dynamic behavior.

When damping degrades:

  • Uncontrolled rebound increases
  • Initial sensitivity decreases
  • Traction on rough terrain drops
  • Internal component fatigue rises

Our protocol includes:

  • Complete technical disassembly
  • Structural inspection of internal components
  • Seal and wiper replacement
  • Oil replacement with specified viscosity
  • Lubrication and manufacturer-based calibration
  • Air pressure verification when applicable

This is not cosmetic cleaning.
It is dynamic behavior restoration.

Suspension calibrated under structural control

We seek dynamically stable response under real riding conditions.

A properly serviced suspension:

  • Restores small bump sensitivity
  • Improves downhill traction
  • Reduces structural fatigue
  • Extends system lifespan
  • Optimizes power transfer

Frequently Asked Questions_

What does the suspension service include?

The lower leg service includes lower leg removal, dust and oil wiper cleaning, oil replenishment to specified viscosity (15WT or 20WT depending on model) and preload adjustment. The full service adds damper cartridge inspection, internal seal replacement and air chamber bleeding.

Which suspension brands do you service in Trujillo?

We work with Fox (Float, Rhythm, Factory), RockShox (Lyrik, Pike, SID, Zeb, Super Deluxe), DVO, Marzocchi and X-Fusion. Each brand has specific oil and torque requirements, which we execute at our Trujillo workshop with dedicated suspension tooling.

How often should suspension service be performed?

Lower leg service is recommended every 50 riding hours or every 6 months. Full service every 100 to 200 hours or once a year for regular use. An unserviced suspension loses sensitivity, increases internal friction and accelerates seal and air chamber wear.

Does the service include rebound and compression calibration?

Yes. Once the mechanical service is complete, we calibrate SAG to your body weight and adjust rebound (LSR) and compression (HSC/LSC) to your declared riding style. At BikeLab Studio, Trujillo, no suspension leaves without verified functional calibration.
